Lead data analytics initiatives at Capital One to design and deliver data solutions and dashboards for business insights. Partner with business units, ensure data quality, and support self-service analytics with governance and lineage.
Key Responsibilities
- Innovate and maintain data solutions; partner with business to design metrics/dashboards; drive analysis for business strategies; enforce data quality governance (metadata, lineage, definitions); collaborate with Tech on security and access governance
Technical Overview
Stack includes Python, R, Spark, SQL with cloud data capabilities on AWS; experience with data warehouses and BI dashboards; data governance and data quality practices are essential.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-to-senior data analyst with strong AWS and data governance experience, proficient in Python, R, Spark, and SQL, and capable of delivering dashboards and self-service analytics to business partners.
Must-Have Skills
Bachelor's Degree in quantitative field (StatisticsEconomicsOperations ResearchAnalyticsMathematicsComputer Science or a related quantitative field) plus at least 5 years of experience performing data analyticsAt least 3 years of experience working with at least one scripting languageAt least 3 years of experience utilizing a business intelligence visualization toolAt least 3 years of experience in queryinganalyzing and working with data languages and platformsExperience utilizing and developing within AWS servicesStrong desire and experience with data in various forms (data warehouses/SQLunstructured data)
