About this role
Serve as a technical leader for Instrumentation and Controls engineering projects by guiding teams, improving leading practices, and supporting complex programs. Develop and review I&C deliverables, investigate technical challenges, recommend solutions, and align engineering efforts with strategic goals and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship
- Define and drive leading engineering practices and knowledge transfer
- Develop and review I&C deliverables (control narratives, PIDs, I/O lists, diagrams, schematics)
- Investigate technical challenges and develop engineering recommendations
- Collaborate with site and project management to ensure standards compliance and continuous improvement
Technical Overview
This role centers on instrumentation and controls documentation and deliverables including Control narratives and philosophies, PIDs, I/O lists, interconnect/block/loop diagrams, schematics, panel arrangement drawings, datasheets, BOMs, and EWPs. It also requires control systems expertise using PLC, DCS, networking, and E&I database software, plus scheduling and scoping using P6.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior technical leader in Instrumentation and Controls with 10+ years of related experience, backed by an engineering degree. They produce core I&C deliverables (control narratives, PIDs, I/O lists, loop diagrams, schematics) and demonstrate control systems expertise with PLC, DCS, networking, and E&I database software.
