About this role
The Principal Material Program Manager (MPM) is a technical project lead coordinating between Global Sourcing (GS) and New Product Development (NPD) teams. The role drives supply chain development by mitigating material/component risks, managing supplier execution projects, and enabling component production readiness for new and next generation products.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate between Global Sourcing (GS) and New Product Development (NPD) teams to drive supply chain development
- Identify material and component risks and create material action plans to drive to completion
- Execute supplier management projects including delegating tasks, tracking schedules, identifying risks, and developing contingency plans
- Drive component production readiness, cost reduction, and design for manufacturability through cross-team facilitation
- Lead Continuous Improvement opportunities for the Material Program Management team and support product life cycle process
