About this role
Serve as the Refinery Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) process subject matter expert to ensure safe, environmentally friendly, reliable, and optimal refinery operations. Mentor and oversee less experienced process engineers by monitoring performance indicators and unit health data to drive improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Train, mentor and coach less experienced process engineers
- Oversee daily performance monitoring efforts
- Maintain process unit health indicators and provide oversight
- Analyze, interpret, and disseminate performance indicators and unit operations data
- Identify short- and long-term process improvements
Technical Overview
Responsible for FCC technology oversight and applying process fundamentals to maintain unit health. Uses performance monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and economic evaluation grounded in data-driven critical thinking to support refinery operations.

The ideal candidate is a Principal Process Engineer and refinery process expert with 12+ years of process engineering experience in downstream refining. They have deep understanding of Refinery Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC) technology and refinery practices, with a proven track record of troubleshooting, optimization, and economic evaluation. They also consistently mentor and oversee junior process engineers using performance indicators and unit operations data to ensure safe, reliable, and optimal operations.
