About this role
Lead enterprise data governance and semantic layer efforts to unify data concepts across data domains and ensure a single source of truth. Define meaning, usage, and quality of data assets, partnering with business and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define vision for enterprise ontologies and semantic models
- Advise/develop enterprise semantic layer and business logic abstractions
- Manage data governance and domain data definitions
- Define/Validate data element requirements and populate the data catalog; refresh data lineage
- Oversee data quality remediation with data stewards
Technical Overview
Expertise in semantic layer technologies and data governance tooling, including dbt, Databricks, data cataloging (Alation), data quality frameworks, metadata management, and BI tool usage.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior data governance/semantic layer lead with 12+ years in data disciplines, deep experience with dbt, Databricks, data cataloging, and BI tooling; strong communication and governance capabilities.
