About this role
The Privacy Governance Specialist supports development, implementation, maintenance, and adherence to an organization-wide privacy program. The role ensures compliance with evolving state and federal privacy requirements and enables responsible data use across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and interpret regulatory requirements and legislative alerts
- Assist business units with privacy policy and procedure gap assessments
- Conduct privacy impact assessments for applications, systems, processes and vendors
- Develop and maintain consumer privacy notices, privacy policies, standards and procedures
- Develop and facilitate privacy training and awareness communications
Technical Overview
Supports operational privacy governance activities including regulatory research, privacy impact assessments, policy/procedure gap assessments, and risk mitigation planning. Also develops and maintains consumer privacy notices and privacy training and awareness communications.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a privacy governance professional who can support development and ongoing maintenance of an enterprise privacy program and ensure compliance with evolving state and federal privacy requirements. They have hands-on experience conducting privacy impact assessments, assessing policy/procedure gaps, and partnering with business units to implement risk mitigation plans.
