PRN SOCIAL WORKER (MSW)

PRN Social Worker (MSW) needed to provide social work and case management services for patients at Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center. The role includes facilitating psychoeducational groups, completing assessments, coordinating discharge/aftercare planning, providing counseling, and maintaining documentation.

• Provides social work and case management services for the patients
• Facilitates therapeutic process and psychoeducational groups (required)
• Completes biopsychosocial, spiritual assessments and discharge/aftercare planning with community resource liaisons
• Provides group, family and individual counseling sessions as prescribed and supervision to interns
• Maintains documentation and accurate records; sets tailored measurable goals and monitors client progress

Administrative and clinical coordination work focused on behavioral health case management rather than technology. Responsibilities include assessments, counseling facilitation (group, family, individual), measurable goal setting, progress monitoring, and detailed documentation within a multidisciplinary care environment.

The ideal candidate is an MSW-prepared social worker who can provide PRN case management and counseling services in an inpatient behavioral health setting. They have experience completing biopsychosocial and spiritual assessments, coordinating discharge/aftercare planning, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and documenting counseling sessions with accuracy.
