About this role
Process Control DCS Engineer provides technical support and leadership for Honeywell TDC3000 and Experion PKS control systems at a refinery. The role maintains and improves control strategies, supports system reliability and safe operations, and drives performance optimization via APC development.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot Honeywell TDC3000 and Experion PKS systems
- Tune and optimize regulatory control loops and provide daily troubleshooting support
- Develop, implement, and maintain APC applications including multivariable controllers and inferential models
- Support safe and compliant changes via PHA, P&ID reviews, and MOC processes
- Perform DCS hardware and software maintenance, backups, upgrades, and modernization migrations
Technical Overview
Maintain and troubleshoot Honeywell TDC3000 and Experion PKS, including configuration, logic, graphics, and point databases. Tune regulatory control loops and develop/maintain advanced process control (APC) applications using multivariable controllers and inferential models, while supporting PLC/SIS logic, alarm management, cybersecurity-aligned configurations, and modernization projects (migrations and network upgrades).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Process Control/DCS engineer with 3+ years in process control or DCS/controls engineering, specifically hands-on support of Honeywell TDC3000 and Experion PKS control systems. They can tune regulatory control loops, develop and maintain advanced process control (APC) applications (multivariable controllers and inferential models), and provide day-to-day troubleshooting support while participating in PHA, P&ID, and MOC processes.
