About this role

Product Counsel will advise Twitch teams on legal issues across the product development life cycle, with a focus on content policy and moderation, online and youth safety, and advertising/brand safety. The role includes drafting key user-facing documents and partnering across Product, Engineering, Privacy, Public Policy, Marketing, Comms, and Customer Trust to manage compliance and legal risk.

Key Responsibilities

Advise on safety, moderation, and advertising with regulatory engagement
Review products, processes, features, and initiatives for legal obligations globally
Draft consumer disclosures, FAQs, and terms and conditions
Assist in developing strategies for disputes, litigation, enforcement, and regulatory matters
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Engineering, Privacy, Public Policy, Marketing, Comms, and Customer Trust

Technical Overview

This is a legal role supporting a global UGC service. The technical scope is legal/compliance rather than software: advising on laws and regulatory requirements, assessing new laws, and creating policies and compliance measures related to safety, moderation, and advertising.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a mid-level attorney with 5+ years of legal experience who can advise product teams across the product development life cycle. They have strong experience with content policy/moderation, online safety/youth safety, advertising/brand safety, and regulatory engagement, including drafting consumer disclosures and terms and conditions.
