Product Design Architect

HealthJoy is seeking a Product Design Architect to lead the design of the external user side of its AI-driven healthcare benefits platform. The role requires both real-time execution with engineering teams and longer-horizon system design focused on how users interact with AI behavior.

• Lead design architecture for external users
• Ship and iterate in real-time with engineers
• Design human-AI interfaces and AI recommendation UX
• Manage cognitive load and user mental models
• Set product vision for 3-6 months out

This role designs human-AI interfaces in a platform that uses predictive analytics, natural language processing, and machine learning. The designer works closely with engineers to tune how AI outputs feel, manage user trust, and present probabilistic recommendations without eroding confidence.

The ideal candidate is a mid-level product designer who can operate as a design architect across execution and system design, embedded with engineers and able to ship changes directly in code. They have experience designing user experiences that integrate AI behavior—especially interfaces for probabilistic recommendations—while managing cognitive load and user trust.
