Actian is hiring a Product Engineer Intern to help build AI-powered capabilities for its data product tooling. The role includes delivering an AI-focused capstone project and integrating AI/ML features into the Data Product Workbench using Java, Python, and React.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver an AI-focused capstone project, Build and integrate AI/ML features into Data Product Workbench using Java, Python, and React, Collaborate with customers, partners, and the Bitol open-source community (Linux Foundation) to validate requirements, Participate in sprint ceremonies, code reviews, and design discussions, Present capstone work in the Internship Showcase

Technical Overview

You will work within Actian’s Data Intelligence Platform and Data Product Workbench to address data contract and data product lifecycle challenges such as similarity search, maturity assessment, and natural language generation. The internship emphasizes collaboration with customers/partners and integration work across AI/ML features, code reviews, and sprint execution.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an intern-level engineering student who is interested in building AI-powered data product tooling. They have hands-on experience with Java, Python, and React, and can work on capstone-style projects involving similarity search and natural language generation. They collaborate effectively with customers/partners and can participate in sprint ceremonies, code reviews, and design discussions.
