About this role
Amazon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own and continuously improve data center liquid cooling infrastructure products. The role includes collaborating with product teams and suppliers while maintaining engineering ownership through development, testing, and operational life.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve data center liquid cooling infrastructure products
- Lead cooling product design and apply cooling principles
- Review, update, and approve equipment submittals
- Partner with global suppliers and manufacturers
- Support operations with failure mode and root cause analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Technical Overview
You will support AWS data centers’ liquid cooling infrastructure by handling cooling product design, equipment submittals, and systems evaluation across air handling, piping systems, and pumping systems. You will also provide operational support including failure mode and root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mechanical engineer with hands-on mechanical and manufacturing experience designing liquid cooling products for data center infrastructure. They can lead cooling product design, understand cooling principles, and apply quality manufacturing practices, with strong skills in equipment specifications and piping/pumping/air-handling systems.
