Position Details
About this role
This internship builds a data visualization and integration framework that links product Bill of Materials (BOM) structures to sales order configurations. The goal is to enable tool-level Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for more accurate and scalable product carbon footprint analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and map Bill of Materials (BOM) structures across tool platforms
- Develop a visualization model for hierarchical BOM architecture and impact drivers
- Create a framework interfacing BOM data with sales order configurations
- Support logic mapping configured sales orders to material content for tool-specific LCA
- Document system architecture and recommend scalable improvements
Technical Overview
You will map BOM structures across tool platforms and develop a visualization model highlighting hierarchical architecture and environmental impact drivers (mass, materials, energy components). You will also create a framework to interface BOM data with sales order configurations and support tool-specific Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) modeling while collaborating with Engineering, PLM, ERP, Sustainability, and IT teams.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an intern pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Sustainability. They can work with Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and sales order configurations to create a data visualization/integration framework that supports tool-level Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and product carbon footprint analysis.
