Production Management Trainee-Construction

The Production Management Trainee learns plant operations and manufacturing processes through guided, on-the-job training. The role develops knowledge across lumber grades, costing, scheduling, budgeting, continuous improvement, and safety, while preparing required reports.

• Develops comprehensive knowledge of Company products and procedures through on-the-job training activities
• Develops comprehensive knowledge of panel and lumber grades
• Learns how to operate the Company's business system in order to perform required administrative functions
• Develops detailed knowledge of product costing and understands production scheduling
• Prepares various reports as required

This trainee program focuses on manufacturing execution fundamentals: lumber grades and math (cuts/yields), product costing, production scheduling, and budget/expense control processes. It also emphasizes proficiency with MS Excel spreadsheets for reporting and administrative functions.

The ideal candidate is an early-career professional (trainee level) with strong business fundamentals and proficiency in MS Excel spreadsheets. They are eager to learn plant operations and manufacturing processes, including lumber grades, costing, scheduling, and budget/expense control.
