About this role
The Production Management Trainee learns plant operations and manufacturing processes through guided, on-the-job training. The role develops knowledge across lumber grades, costing, scheduling, budgeting, continuous improvement, and safety, while preparing required reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops comprehensive knowledge of Company products and procedures through on-the-job training activities
- Develops comprehensive knowledge of panel and lumber grades
- Learns how to operate the Company's business system in order to perform required administrative functions
- Develops detailed knowledge of product costing and understands production scheduling
- Prepares various reports as required

This trainee program focuses on manufacturing execution fundamentals: lumber grades and math (cuts/yields), product costing, production scheduling, and budget/expense control processes. It also emphasizes proficiency with MS Excel spreadsheets for reporting and administrative functions.
