Remote (1099) Project Engineer role for a structural engineering firm supporting new construction residential and light commercial projects. You will take assignments from handoff to completion by assessing scope, performing structural engineering work, and delivering a complete set of drawings and calculations ready for PE review and stamp.

Technical Overview

Role focuses on producing structural drawings and engineering calculations for wood framing, steel, foundations, and lateral systems while working within IBC. Deliverables are created using CAD and structural analysis software, then reviewed by a Principal PE for stamp; you also handle construction administration questions.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced Project Engineer already producing residential and light commercial structural engineering deliverables independently. They have strong working knowledge of wood framing, steel design, foundations, and IBC, and can generate complete structural drawings and calculations using CAD and structural analysis software for Principal PE review and stamp.
