About this role
The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for turnkey projects from shipment through installation and execution. The role coordinates contractors, ensures on-time shipment and accurate counts, manages milestone-based invoicing with Accounting, and prepares reports on progress, costs, and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned turnkey projects
- Coordinate installation services with contractors and represent NWS in meetings
- Ensure on-time shipment of materials and accurate product counts
- Oversee project execution to meet contractual obligations and coordinate milestone invoicing
- Prepare reports on project progress, costs, and scheduling while supporting customer training
Technical Overview
While primarily project-focused, the role requires applying engineering and fabrication knowledge and interpreting technical documents including drawings, bills of materials, engineering documents, and shop orders. It also involves training customers on proper operation of rack systems and resolving field issues that can lead to back charges.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in project coordination or project management within steel rack industry, construction, or related work. They are comfortable owning turnkey projects end-to-end—coordinating contractors, ensuring on-time shipments and accurate counts, handling invoicing at milestones, and using technical documents like drawings and bills of materials while leading safety compliance during installations.
