About this role
Xcel Energy is hiring a Project Manager at a level commensurate with the candidate’s skills and experience (I, II, or III). The role focuses on managing one or more project work streams, including scope, schedule, cost, and risk, while coordinating cross-functional responses to regulatory and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project management, leadership and coordination for one or more projects or project work streams
- Own overall project scope, schedule, cost and risk management
- Develop project plan deliverables including sequencing and milestone schedules
- Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, and actuals tracking
- Lead projects through internal and external processes and ensure timely project closure, payment and reconciliation
Technical Overview
This is a non-software project management role centered on delivering implementation outcomes with fixed deadlines. The work includes financial management (budgeting, forecasting, actuals tracking), resource planning, and producing project deliverables using detailed milestone schedules and cost tracking.
