About this role
AECOM is hiring a Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure and engineering projects within the mining sector. The role owns overall project management and administration, acting as the primary liaison to client stakeholders while managing scope, schedule, budget, staffing, quality, and risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall project management and administration
- Lead budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract management, and closeout
- Mitigate risks across technical, contractual, and commercial issues
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and run project status meetings
- Drive business development through proposals and client relationship building
Technical Overview
This position coordinates multi-disciplinary engineering, design, environmental, and construction teams and drives project delivery through budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract management, and closeout. It also requires reporting on project status and managing financial forecasting, invoicing, and profit/loss responsibility under compliance and quality/safety standards.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior Project Manager with 8+ years of progressive experience leading infrastructure and engineering projects in the mining sector. They demonstrate strong leadership and client stakeholder management, can manage scope/schedule/budget/quality, and are skilled at risk mitigation, contract/procurement oversight, and financial controls including forecasting and profit/loss responsibility.
