The Publications Engineer creates and revises aircraft technical manuals and technical publications for operation and maintenance of aircraft systems and assemblies. The role includes conducting engineering research and ensuring all content meets design and regulatory requirements, verified through virtual (CATIA) and on-aircraft validation activities.

  • Complete engineering research, development, and certification requirements for technical publications
  • Use Adobe FrameMaker to produce detailed operating and maintenance procedures
  • Ensure data conforms to design specifications and regulatory requirements for technical orders
  • Verify accuracy of content and illustrations with design engineers and certification stakeholders
  • Validate procedures via CATIA virtual and on-aircraft validations of parts, assemblies, and installations

You will author and illustrate aircraft technical publications using Adobe FrameMaker, leveraging engineering drawings and database information. You will validate technical document procedures using CATIA virtual validation and on-aircraft verification, ensuring compliance with ATA and MIL specifications and technical order requirements for continued airworthiness.

The ideal candidate is an aviation or engineering-focused professional with strong experience producing aircraft technical manuals and technical publications. They are proficient with Adobe FrameMaker and have hands-on validation experience using CATIA and/or on-aircraft verification methods, with a solid understanding of ATA and MIL specifications.
