About this role
Westlake Pipe & Fittings is hiring an Electromechanical Technician to perform PLC work on manufacturing equipment. The role includes programming, troubleshooting, repairing PLC circuits, and maintaining plant electrical systems, electronics, motors, drives, and power transmission systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Write advanced A/B PLC logic program
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC circuits
- Design and assemble control circuits and cabinets with user interface
- Troubleshoot/program/specify motor drives
- Maintain/service plant switchgear and perform electrical/electronic diagnostics repair and installation
Technical Overview
This is a manufacturing controls and electromechanical maintenance role focused on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and diagnostics. The technician will write advanced A/B PLC logic, troubleshoot PLC circuits, design control circuits/cabinets, specify and troubleshoot motor drives, maintain switchgear, and track maintenance using CMMS (FIIX).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an electromechanical technician with 3+ years of practical electronics experience and strong hands-on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) work. They can write advanced A/B PLC logic, troubleshoot and repair PLC circuits, and maintain/service plant electrical systems including motor drives and switchgear.
