About this role
QA Automation Engineer to own test strategy and automated test coverage for SmartField RMS. This hands-on role validates system behavior across distributed systems and integrates automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks (API, integration, system-level)
- Build test coverage for device connectivity and state transitions, alert triggering, suppression, and recovery
- Define test strategy and quality standards with Product and Engineering
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Perform targeted manual exploratory testing where automation is not yet feasible
Technical Overview
Design and maintain automated test frameworks for API, integration, and system-level testing; verify device connectivity, state transitions, and failure scenarios; familiarity with IoT and cloud/hybrid architectures; experience with monitoring and observability.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level QA Automation Engineer with 3–6 years of experience designing and implementing automated tests for backend and distributed systems, including IoT contexts. They should be proficient in integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and improving observability and reliability.
