About this role
This Quality Assurance role (6A-6P swing shift) performs product and machine setting checks to ensure carpet quality during production. Responsibilities include style changes, quality audits, and monitoring key reports and measurements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform style changes according to specifications
- Conduct quality audits on carpet for defects
- Monitor weight variance reports, dye header reports, and tufting machines
- Verify meters for accuracy
- Keep simple records and make reports while following procedures
Technical Overview
Focuses on monitoring tufting machines and production parameters (stitch, pile height, width, tickets, backing) and verifying meter accuracy. Requires familiarity with PC/database systems, AS400, BCF yarn testing procedures, SDS sheet location knowledge, and the ability to pass the Munsell hue test.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has prior experience operating tufting machine equipment and performing quality checks on carpet products. They are comfortable reviewing weight variance reports and dye header reports, verifying meter accuracy, and documenting simple records while following standard operating and safety procedures.
Must-Have Skills
