About this role
Own and continuously improve Emerson’s Quality Management System (QMS) aligned to ISO 9001 and AS9100. Lead internal and external audit activities, drive CAPA closure, and partner with R&D and Operations to embed quality requirements across the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Own, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and AS9100
- Plan, manage, and execute the internal audit program with risk-based audit scheduling
- Act as primary quality representative during external audits with certification bodies, customers, and regulatory entities
- Support and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) to resolve audit findings
- Develop, maintain, and improve QMS documentation and deliver quality training
Technical Overview
This is a quality engineering role focused on QMS governance, audit program management, and compliance. The work spans ISO 9001/AS9100 alignment, risk-based internal audits, external audit representation, CAPA execution, and documentation/training for quality awareness.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced quality professional with 5+ years managing Quality Management System (QMS) activities in a regulated or high-technology environment. They have strong audit expertise, can plan and execute risk-based internal audit programs, lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA), and effectively represent quality during external audits. They communicate clearly with R&D, Operations, and customers while driving continuous improvement against ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements.
