About this role
Performs radiographic procedures and other technical exams for patients in accordance with departmental policy. Maintains radiology equipment and supports on-call procedures while advocating for patients through clear communication and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures per departmental policy
- Apply ionized radiation using independent judgement for radiologic diagnoses
- Maintain radiology equipment (startup, calibration, troubleshooting, QC, preventative maintenance)
- Serve as patient advocate by assessing and explaining procedures
- Process billing/charging with computer systems and communicate with radiologists
Technical Overview
Operates and maintains radiology equipment, including start up procedures, calibration, troubleshooting, QC, preventative maintenance, and malfunctioning equipment problem solving. Applies ionized radiation with independent judgement for radiologic diagnoses and supports equipment/procedure evaluation improvements.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has completed a JRCERT approved formal program in Radiologic Technology and holds current Arizona Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) credentials plus Certified Radiology Tech (CRT) and CPR. They can perform radiographic procedures using ionized radiation with independent judgement, maintain radiology equipment through calibration, troubleshooting, QC, and preventative maintenance, and clearly communicate procedures to patients as a patient advocate.
