About this role
The Raw Materials Planner/Analyst is responsible for obtaining raw materials and services needed by the organization, with a focus on paperboard procurement. The role uses MRP to plan material needs, issue purchase requisitions and Purchase Orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate raw material inventories to support just-in-time production.
Key Responsibilities
- Use MRP to identify paperboard needs and generate purchase requisitions
- Issue Purchase Orders and track them to ensure on-time delivery
- Maintain daily supplier communication to monitor delivery status and confirm shipment details
- Manage raw material inventory accuracy through monitoring and reconciliation
- Coordinate transportation and logistics and resolve inventory discrepancies

The technical scope centers on material planning and procurement execution: using MRP (Material Requirements Planning), managing Purchase Orders through completion, and coordinating transportation and delivery logistics. It also includes inventory monitoring and reconciliation with plant Receiving teams to resolve discrepancies.

The ideal candidate is a Raw Materials Planner/Analyst experienced in procurement and material planning for manufacturing, especially paperboard. They use MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to plan needs, generate purchase requisitions, and issue Purchase Orders, while ensuring on-time delivery and accurate inventory through reconciliation. They communicate daily with suppliers and coordinate logistics in support of just-in-time production scheduling.
