About this role

This role plans and executes real estate and real estate-related projects and activities. It provides real estate support for energy delivery operations and other assigned business units, including acquisition, leasing, rent collection support, property tax assessments and appeals, and property management.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and perform real estate and real estate-related activities (acquisition, leasing, rent receivables, property disposition, property tax assessments and appeals, and property management)
Negotiate contract and agreement terms; prepare real estate documents; review surveys, legal descriptions, engineering drawings, appraisals, and environmental reports; represent the Department in legal matters
Create and maintain project files and documentation
Conduct financial analyses and property inspections
Research real estate and property records and conduct marketing activities

Technical Overview

The position is focused on real estate transaction execution and documentation: contract/deed/lease/easement preparation, review of surveys, legal descriptions, engineering drawings, and appraisal/environmental materials. It also includes financial analyses, property inspections, and maintaining project files and records.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a real estate professional who can plan and execute real estate and real-estate-related activities, including property acquisition, leasing, and property management. They are comfortable negotiating contracts and preparing legal real estate documents (deeds, leases, easements) while supporting compliance work tied to property tax assessments and appeals.
