About this role

Recovery and Restoration Engineer (Remote) supports incident response and post-incident recovery, rebuilding and securing on-prem and cloud environments for GuidePoint clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage IT recovery projects; develop remediation/restoration plans; rebuild AD and cloud identities; restore and validate critical workloads; travel to client environments as needed

Technical Overview

Hands-on with Windows Server, AD/Azure AD, Microsoft 365; virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V); PowerShell and Graph API; backup/restoration tooling (Veeam, Rubrik, Datto); security hardening and recovery workflows.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior recovery engineer with strong on-premises and cloud identity/office 365 recovery skills, proficient in PowerShell and common recovery tooling, able to lead post-incident rebuilds and collaborate with IR teams.
