About this role
The Refinery Analysis Accounting Specialist performs day-to-day accounting and analysis for the refinery, including financial planning, capital budgeting, cost and expense budgeting, and variance analysis. The role also supports forecasts, Solomon reporting, headquarters close activities, and accounting transactions for complex sales agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare analysis including financial planning, capital budgeting, cost accounting, and expense budgeting
- Develop refinery financial forecasts, results of operations, and budget/variance analysis
- Perform Solomon reporting and Solomon survey preparation as requested
- Support headquarters accounting close and provide budget management support
- Handle complex agreements (steam, refinery gas, and electricity sales) and prepare required accounting transactions
