About this role
Float Pool Registered Nurse needed at Northern Nevada Medical Center to provide direct and indirect patient care across ICU/ED/PCU units, float to all units, and communicate changes with physicians. Requires critical care experience and active nursing licensure in Nevada.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates bedside report using IMAP & SBAR
- Provides direct patient care and evaluates outcomes
- Performs head-to-toe assessment across patient populations
- Uses triage to ensure timely care
- Monitors dysrhythmias and ACLS-based treatment
Technical Overview
Clinical nursing with emphasis on critical care, cardiac monitoring, and standardized communication protocols (IMAP/SBAR); ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications as required.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-career Registered Nurse with 2+ years of critical care experience, current NV licensure, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or willingness to obtain PALS within 6 months). Must demonstrate strong patient care, triage, and rapid response abilities across ICU/ED/PACU settings while floating to all units.
