About this role
Provides professional nursing care in the Operating Room under minimal supervision while supporting Baptist Health System policies and procedures. Completes established position competencies during an introductory period and maintains required life-support certifications within specified timeframes.

- Complete established competencies within designated introductory period
- Obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, and PALS per unit requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Technical Overview
Clinical RN role with required BLS and unit-specific requirements for ACLS (Surgery Services) and PALS (Post Anesthesia), each required within 6 months of hire/transfer. Preferred board credentials include CNOR, CPAN, and SGNA GI Lab certifications.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing and a current Texas RN license (or eligibility for Texas state board certification). They have BLS and are able to obtain ACLS within 6 months for Surgery Services and PALS within 6 months for Post Anesthesia, with preferred peri-anesthesia or critical care training and board-eligible/certified credentials such as CNOR, CPAN, and SGNA GI Lab.
