About this role
The Hughes Center seeks a contract RN to provide psychiatric nursing care for youth, manage medications, and respond to crises during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate nursing care on the assigned unit
- Administer medications and treatments
- Monitor residents' behavior and status
- Respond to crises in collaboration with leaders
- Report conditions to oncoming shifts
Technical Overview
Psychiatric nursing in a youth residential setting; crisis intervention; de-escalation training; safety and respiratory testing
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Virginia-licensed RN with 2+ years of psychiatric nursing experience, capable of night shift coverage and crisis intervention training, including Handle With Care and de-escalation techniques.
