About this role
This 2026 summer internship focuses on reviewing past stimulation activities in the El Merk (ELM) Block to determine effectiveness and identify improvements for future stimulation work. The intern will produce deliverables including an end summary report or presentation with analysis of production response and practical recommendations to reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Review past stimulation activities
- Identify effective and ineffective stimulations
- Perform simple analysis of production response
- Provide practical recommendations to optimize stimulation and reduce costs
- Deliver final summary report or presentation
Technical Overview
The intern will apply reservoir and production engineering concepts to evaluate historical stimulation performance and quantify/interpret production response. They will synthesize findings into simple analyses and recommendations, supported by proficiency in MS Office Suite and strong communication skills in English and French.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a current student studying Petroleum Engineering (or a closely related discipline) and is fluent in both English and French. They have a solid understanding of Reservoir and Production Engineering concepts and can analyze stimulation history to determine what worked and what did not. They are comfortable using MS Office Suite for reporting and can deliver clear recommendations through written deliverables and presentations.
