About this role

Databricks RSA for Public Sector helps government clients tackle big data challenges using the Databricks platform. You will deliver data engineering, data science, and cloud-based projects, architect reference designs, and guide end-to-end deployments while maintaining a strong customer focus and security clearance. Travel to client sites is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build reference architectures for big data projects
  • Productionalize customer use cases and workflows
  • Guide strategic government customers through migrations and large deployments
  • Consult on architecture and design and bootstrap customer projects
  • Provide escalated support for operational issues and feedback to engineering

Technical Overview

Role requires multi-cloud familiarity (AWS, Azure, GCP), Python/Scala, Apache Spark, Spark runtime internals, CI/CD tooling, MLOps, and end-to-end data architectures on the Databricks platform, with a focus on production deployments and client-facing delivery.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior solutions architect with 6+ years of data engineering experience, strong Databricks and Spark skills, and multi-cloud expertise. They are customer-facing, able to design reference architectures for public sector engagements, and comfortable traveling to client sites and guiding end-to-end deployments while holding a Secret clearance.
