About this role
The Respiratory Therapist Educator coordinates and delivers educational programs for respiratory therapy staff and students, ensuring ongoing training in current best practices and critical care protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day educational needs of RT students
- Serve as departmental training resource for Respiratory Therapy practices
- Maintain training materials and update curricula
- Provide first-line training and resources for staff and physicians on respiratory issues in critical care
- Ensure staff training gaps are identified and addressed
Technical Overview
This role is clinical-education focused, leveraging Respiratory Therapy expertise to develop training materials, lead staff development, and ensure compliance with certification and competency requirements in a hospital setting.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced respiratory therapist educator with at least 5 years of critical care experience, a valid NBRC RRT license, and active BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Experience leading training programs and developing current educational materials for respiratory therapy in a critical care setting is essential.
