About this role
The Retail Sales Associate (FT) supports the CHEF'STORE as a cashier, stocker, and customer courtesy team member by delivering superior customer service. The role includes operating POS for sales, scanning and weighing products as needed, maintaining shelves, receiving inventory shipments, rotating product, and participating in inventory and event processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sales and cash functions in the POS accurately
- Scan merchandise using a scan gun/10 keypad and handle items that will not scan
- Verify cart content vs. purchases as a receipt checker
- Receive inventory shipments and stock shelves while ensuring proper rotation and product quality audits
- Support store opening/closing and assist with inventory processes and sales floor resets
Technical Overview
This role is operational rather than software-focused, but it requires accurate POS (Point of Sale) transactions with scanning (scan gun and 10 keypad), countertop scales for weighing, and barcode verification.
