About this role

A Full-Time Day Shift Retail Sales Associate for CHEF'STORE responsible for front-end checkout and cashier duties as well as sales floor stocking and inventory support. The role includes POS transactions, scanning and barcode accuracy, receipt checking, and assisting with receiving, rotation, labeling, and shrinkage management.

Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional CHEF'STORE customer experience and relationship building
Perform sales and cash functions in the POS including scanning and barcode accuracy checks
Conduct cart-to-cart transfer with visual inspection for tampering
Handle front-end opening/closing and receipt checker verification
Assist with receiving inventory, stocking shelves, product rotation, labeling, and product quality audits

Technical Overview

This role uses Point of Sale (POS) systems and scanning tools (held-held scan gun and 10 keypad), plus countertop scales for product weighing. It also involves barcode-based item lookup and inventory/checkout accuracy checks such as cart-to-cart transfer and receipt verification.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an entry-level retail sales associate who can provide strong customer service and accurately complete cashier and front-end transactions using a Point of Sale (POS). They are reliable with open availability and weekends, and comfortable supporting stocking, inventory receiving, and freight handling on a day shift.
