About this role
The Revenue Manager owns revenue recognition analysis and reporting, and executes monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities at both a hands-on and high level. The role evaluates customer contracts, supports audit efforts, builds accounting process improvements in a SOX environment, and leverages advanced Excel modeling and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue recognition close activities
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain documentation
- Manage complex revenue recognition processes and reporting
- Develop and improve accounting processes and procedures in a SOX environment
- Support internal and external audit efforts and ERP implementation
Technical Overview
Core technical scope is accounting for revenue recognition under ASC 606 and US GAAP, including balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement support, sales commission deferral calculations, and commission assumptions. The role also includes ERP implementation and proficiency with multiple ERP systems, plus process design for a SOX environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level accounting professional with 3-5 years of progressive financial analysis and reporting experience and strong revenue recognition expertise specifically under ASC 606 and US GAAP. They can run monthly/quarterly/annual close processes hands-on, support audit efforts, and develop accounting processes in a SOX environment, with advanced Excel modeling and ERP experience.
