About this role
This role is for an RN responsible for managing patient care for admitted patients and those undergoing medical conditions or surgical procedures. The nurse provides professional leadership, plans and evaluates nursing care, ensures safe and competent delivery, and supports the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care for patients
- Provide safe, competent nursing care per facility policies and standards
- Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team
- Oversee and guide nursing employees under supervision
- Coordinate with hospital staff/ancillary departments to resolve patient care concerns and conflicts
Technical Overview
This is a clinical nursing role with unit-specific clinical certification requirements. It requires maintaining BLS and potentially BCLS/CPR and ACLS per unit needs, aligned to ARC and AHA Healthcare Provider's Program standards.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse currently licensed in Texas (or eligible via a compact state license or temporary Texas RN license) with strong familiarity with acute care nursing and patient-centered care. They maintain BLS and are prepared to obtain and keep unit-required certifications such as BCLS/CPR and possibly ACLS based on unit needs.
