The role focuses on infection control operations and evidence-based identification of nosocomial infections using standard methods and criteria. The ideal candidate is an RN with 3–5 years of clinical experience in an acute care facility and at least 1 year of experience in Infection Control or Infection Prevention. They hold (or will obtain within 2 years) the National Certification in Infection Control (CIC) and CPR, and they can educate staff while investigating and monitoring suspected infection sources and improving sterilization/disinfection practices.
