About this role
Univar Solutions is hiring a Sales Account Manager to grow accounts in the Charlotte, NC territory by matching customer needs to the company’s chemical and ingredients portfolio. The role combines consultative selling, prospecting, territory and pipeline management, and cross-functional coordination to deliver top-tier customer service and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and grow customer accounts and relationships
- Find new opportunities and win new business to grow the territory
- Collaborate with internal teams for top-tier service and technical support
- Manage portfolio, prioritizing sales time and managing the sales funnel
- Win back lost customers and close deals through effective calls, presentations, and negotiation
Technical Overview
This is not a software/IT role. The position requires knowledge of plant operations and the production cycle (chemical industry experience preferred) and the ability to manage sales processes from prospecting through objections, negotiation, and closing. The company also references using digital tools to support account growth and service delivery.
