About this role
Sales Representative manages the sales process for D.R. Horton homebuyers while delivering excellent customer service. The role sources new customers, helps customers design and select dream homes, closes sales, and maintains accurate documentation through the sale-to-construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate DR Horton’s value proposition, product vision and capabilities to potential customers
- Uncover and understand customer goals and challenges then establishes DR Horton as the best solution available
- Overcome objections and closes for the sale
- Maintains accurate documentation of transaction from sale through loan, options, and construction
- Creates and provides to management a marketing plan for establishing new customer relationships

Technology usage is primarily through DRH Sales applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop, supported by MS Office and email for communication and documentation. No specialized software beyond these is specified.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level to early-career sales professional with at least 2 years of related experience or an Associate’s Degree, strong customer service skills, and proven ability to close sales. They can effectively communicate D.R. Horton’s value proposition, use DRH Sales applications on a smart phone/tablet/laptop, maintain accurate transaction documentation, and develop marketing plans and prospect databases.
