This role leads early-stage evaluation and feasibility efforts for drug delivery device technologies. You will assess viability, support early development planning (including manufacturing/function, supply chain, and supplier risk), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform technology selection.

  • Evaluate cutting-edge drug delivery device technologies and their potential applications to the company pipeline
  • Support early feasibility/development studies including design for manufacture/function analysis, preliminary supply chain development, and supplier risk assessment(s)

Focus is on translating emerging drug delivery device concepts into early development strategies using product design, prototyping, mechanical testing, and human factors engineering. Work includes data analysis supported by statistical analysis and (as listed) machine learning and deep learning approaches, alongside risk management for procurement and suppliers.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on scientist with a background in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and experience designing and mechanically testing medical devices or combination products. They have 2+ years of relevant design/engineering/testing experience (or a Master’s) and can evaluate drug delivery device technologies through feasibility and early development studies while integrating risk and supply considerations.
