About this role
Amazon Music is hiring an SDE II to build differentiated, customer-facing experiences for fans and artists within the Community and Fandom team. The role emphasizes experimenting, innovating, and owning projects end-to-end to deliver high-impact features and systems at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect reliable, scalable systems for Amazon Music
- Develop and deliver large-scale distributed, multi-tiered, multi-threaded software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- Build end-to-end high-visibility features for iOS/mobile experiences
- Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews
- Apply object-oriented design and design patterns to new and existing systems
Technical Overview
You will design and implement scalable software systems for Amazon Music across large-scale distributed architectures, including multi-tiered and multi-threaded systems. The role requires strong object-oriented design and system architecture skills, with hands-on Apple platform development experience and proficiency in at least one of C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced iOS/mobile-focused software engineer with 3+ years of professional software development experience and 2+ years of Apple platform development experience. They have strong system design fundamentals (design patterns, reliability, scaling) and hands-on experience with large-scale distributed, multi-tiered, multi-threaded software. They also demonstrate solid software engineering discipline through coding standards and code reviews.
