Senior Accountant responsible for preparing and overseeing complex financial statements, managing ledger posting and reconciliations, and supporting audit preparation. The role also analyzes financial operations and helps improve reporting processes and automated statements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and oversee complex and interrelated financial statements
- Oversee recording of expenditures and posting to general ledgers
- Verify books and bank statement reconciliation
- Prepare audit schedules and reconciliation reports
- Produce and monitor monthly revenue and expenditure reports for projects
Technical Overview
Work centers on accounting close and reporting functions: reconciling books and bank statements, maintaining accurate general ledger entries, producing monthly project revenue/expenditure reports, and developing schedules and reconciliation reports for audits. Requires GAAP knowledge and effective use of PCs and financial software for automated financial statements.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an accounting professional with 4+ years (or more depending on degree level) producing complex financial statements and owning general ledger accuracy, including bank statement reconciliation. They are GAAP-focused, experienced with audit preparation schedules and reconciliation reporting, and can analyze financial operations to recommend process improvements.
