Senior Accountant - Blue Point

The Senior Accountant prepares journal entries, performs account reconciliations, provides management reporting, and completes financial analyses while ensuring internal controls are followed. This role supports plant finance activities including SAP-based month-end/year-end transaction recording, accruals, purchase order/vendor invoice review, and audit participation.

• Prepare monthly journal entries into the SAP system for month-end and year-end transactions
• Prepare capital expenditure accruals and intercompany journal entries
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts including construction in progress and coordinate unbilled work accruals
• Review and approve purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor invoices
• Participate in audits and support project reporting

The role is centered on SAP-based accounting operations for month-end and year-end close, including capital expenditure accruals, intercompany journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations such as construction in progress and unbilled work. It also involves review/approval of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor invoices, with contract and supplier agreement interpretation.

The ideal candidate is a senior-level accountant with 4+ years of experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations with strong internal controls awareness. They have practical SAP experience and are comfortable supporting month-end and year-end close activities, including capital expenditure accruals, intercompany entries, construction in progress reconciliation, and audit readiness.
