About this role
This Senior Accountant - Plant Controlling role owns key plant accounting responsibilities including P&L control and variance analysis. The incumbent partners with operations and corporate stakeholders to ensure internal controls, accurate reporting, and clear understanding of plant financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own plant P&L, Manufacturing Statement, and Balance Sheet accounts
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and annual close (including accruals and journal entries)
- Maintain sub-ledgers and perform monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliations
- Perform pre- and post-close variance analysis with root cause and corrective action
- Prepare monthly variance reporting packages, forecasts, budgets, and AFEs with payback calculations

The scope includes executing month-end, quarter-end, and annual close activities with accruals and journal entries, maintaining sub-ledgers, and performing reconciliations. It also includes recurring variance analysis and preparation of monthly reporting packages, forecasts, budgets, and AFEs with payback financial calculations.

The ideal candidate is a senior plant accounting professional who can fully own plant financial statement accounts and perform disciplined variance analysis. They are experienced in executing close activities (accruals and journal entries), producing reconciliations, and delivering management reporting for budgets, prior year, and forecasts, including AFE preparation and payback calculations.
