About this role
Senior AI software developer to advance the Leidos Common Automation Platform (L-CAP) in a government setting. The role focuses on AI-enabled microservices within a SAFe/Agile framework across hybrid cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using modern software engineering best practices
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers in an Agile / SAFe environment
- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with systems engineering, product delivery, and program teams to translate requirements into working software solutions
- Develop clean, maintainable, and testable code following CI/CD and DevSecOps practices
Technical Overview
Emphasis on Java, Python, or C++, Linux, microservices, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Experience with Claude-Code and Kafka is valued.

The ideal candidate is a senior AI software developer with 8+ years of experience, strong microservices and AI capabilities, and expertise in Java, Python, or C++. They should lead in a SAFe, cloud-enabled environment, delivering AI-driven software for government programs.
