Senior Ambient Air Quality Professional

AECOM is seeking a Senior Ambient Air Quality Professional to lead ambient air monitoring programs and support regulatory-focused air quality work. The role includes technical oversight of monitoring plans and QAPPs, interpretation of air quality datasets, and contributions to modeling and regulatory assessments.

• Lead and manage ambient air quality programs (monitoring network design, implementation, operation, data interpretation)
• Provide technical oversight for ambient air monitoring plans, QAPPs, and standard operating procedures
• Manage and interpret ambient air quality datasets for regulatory compliance and risk evaluations
• Support NAAQS-related analyses, State Implementation Plan support, attainment demonstrations, conformity, and regulatory assessments
• Oversee or support air dispersion modeling and serve as a technical resource during regulatory reviews and agency interactions

You will manage ambient air quality programs including monitoring network design, implementation, operation, and data interpretation. The role also involves NAAQS-related analyses, State Implementation Plan support, and oversight or support of air dispersion modeling for ambient air impact evaluations.

The ideal candidate is a senior ambient air quality professional with deep experience in ambient air monitoring, air quality assessments, and air quality modeling. They bring strong regulatory knowledge and consulting experience, and can lead technical workstreams for complex client projects while mentoring junior staff.
