About this role

Aimpoint Digital seeks a Senior Analytics Engineer to design and build analytical layers and end-to-end analytics solutions for remote client engagements. The role focuses on curated data models, semantic layers, metrics definitions, transformation pipelines, and production-grade analytics and AI use cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop curated data models, semantic layers, metrics definitions, and transformation pipelines
  • Write high-quality SQL, Python, and Spark code
  • Use modern analytics tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran, and dbt
  • Implement engineering best practices with Git and CI/CD
  • Support production-grade analytics and AI applications while improving data quality and governance

Technical Overview

You will develop analytical solutions using Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran, and dbt, and write code in SQL, Python, and Spark. The work includes building semantic layers and metrics, applying data modeling standards (dimensional modeling and star schema), and implementing engineering best practices with Git and CI/CD, including AI-assisted workflows (Codex, Claude, Copilot, Snowflake Cortex Code, Databricks Genie Code).

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior analytics engineer with 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering and deep SQL expertise, plus 3+ years of data modeling experience including dimensional modeling, star schema, and entity modeling. They can build end-to-end analytical solutions using tools like Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran, dbt, and write production-grade SQL, Python, and Spark code with Git and CI/CD, while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
