About this role

Senior Appian Developer for FLAG projects supporting the Department of Labor. Responsibilities include end-to-end development across Appian, Drupal, and Kafka platforms, with cloud services experience and OCIO-compliant design.

Key Responsibilities

Supports and develops the core Appian platform project, the Drupal content management system, the Apache Kafka event-streaming platform
Work with Federal PM and Product Owner to understand requirements and design solutions
Lead design decisions, debt management, and bug resolution
Ensure security requirements and OCIO best practices
Document architecture and root cause analysis

Technical Overview

Technical scope includes Appian, Drupal, Kafka, AWS/Azure, Cosmos DB, JavaScript, Oracle/SQL, JIRA, and DevOps practices; strong emphasis on security and OCIO standards.

Ideal Candidate

Senior Appian Developer with at least 6 years supporting major IT systems, including Appian, Drupal, Kafka, and cloud services (AWS/Azure). Must be citizen and able to work remotely in the U.S., with a track record of DevOps practices and public-sector experience.

Must-Have Skills
